Reviewing Pagers and Email Addresses (Device Mgmt Tab)

Pager information and email addresses can be reviewed in the Device Mgmt tab in the Personal Profile screen. The email addresses assigned to this person can be added and updated in this tab. Information about the pagers assigned to this person can be reviewed, and Spok Mobile pagers can be registered for use with Spok Mobile.

NOTE: If your system is using the DPE (Device Preference Engine) to manage your device preferences, the Send to all Devices and the Pagers sections are removed from the screen by default. Your system may be configured to display a message and/or a link with more information for your site in the Pagers section. If so, the Pagers section is displayed.

 

Send to All Devices Option

In the Device Mgmt tab, the person logged in can specify whether the send to all devices feature can be used. This feature determines whether a message sent from Smart Web or Smart Console is sent to one specific device or to a set the selected devices.

Receiving Replies: Selecting the Reply To Option

If your system is configured to use two-way messaging and you want to receive replies to the messages you send, you can use the “reply to” feature. This feature enables you to select the pagers and emails to which a reply should be sent.

Reviewing Pager Information and Registering a Pager with Spok Mobile

The Pagers section in the Device Mgmt tab displays information about the pagers, such as the display order, pager ID, and type. Spok Mobile registration information is also displayed, such as the current registration status, the device and carrier, and the registration date and time. The Spok Mobile registration fields are blank if the pager is available for registration but has not yet been registered or if the pager cannot be registered with Spok Mobile.

If a pager has been enabled for use with Spok Mobile, a Mobile Registration link is available for the pager. You can click the link to access the Spok Mobile registration web site and register the pager. Adding and Updating Email Addresses

A user can update existing or add new email addresses in the Email Update section in the Device Mgmt tab. More than one email address can be specified for a person.
